The campground has a great overlook all year long! Not many amenities but i dont require many. Easy access to a lot of outdoor activities and right off the highway.
One of the strangest Forest Service campgrounds I've visited. Their website implies its an actual campground not a recreation area and that campsites can be reserved online. However, none of the sites have numbers and there's no way to pay onsite. It was also a little difficult to find. The firepit was one of the worst I've used. The main reason to camp here is the view of the Ozarks. Nearby are some of the most scenic highway drives in the US.
